Te` Russ did a wonderful job of drawing me in hook, line and sinker. She tells the story of two people who aren't looking for love, but somehow find it staring them in the face. They find strength and encouragement in one another as they both experience tumultuous storms in their own lives. This is the second novel I have read by Ms. Russ, and I enjoy the way her characters draw you in and allow you to easily relate to them.
In this story she digs into the world of MMA and paints vivid pictures of a sport on the rise, with insight, clarity, and entertainment. For the lovers in the house, it's the perfect contemporary romance. And for those looking for a little bit of adventure, your blood is sure to boil over with this read. Great job!

This is my first read by this author. Zach and Lila met and did not hit it off at first. Fate intervened and made it impossible for them to ignore each other. Their romance developed and became a beautiful romance.
Lila and Zach- This book was sweet and awesome. It was an enjoyable read- a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
This is my first book by this author but definitely won't be the last. I really enjoyed watching the relationship between Lila and Zach grow. They had amazing chemistry. I have to read book two to see how that unfolds. Again, great job.
Lila McAllister had a health scare and she was forced to take to some time off and Zach Thomas is a MMA fighter who takes some time off before his next fight. There first meeting doesn't go over so well but then they end up stranded together. Even though they didn't have a very good first meeting you can tell that the more time they spend together the more they like each other. They both have to let their defenses down in order to see were things will lead. I loved this story and I can't wait to read the other books in this series.
Mrs. Russ is such an amazing and talented author! My nickname for her is now love heiress! I go through her stories so effortlessly and Lila and Zach ' s story really had me invested. Their attraction sizzled and popped from the moment they met. Their first meeting was not on the best terms but, they definitely paid for it later! The live scenes were hot! Zack being a martial arts athlete as well as Lila background in the sport, lured me in because I love to read about athletes. Awesome, awesome Te' Russ keep up your romantic web!
People who start out disliking each other usually end up passionate lovers, and at times the perfect couple…This book proved that once more…In my opinion Lilly really needed a man like Zach because he was the yin to her yang, and they complemented each other as much as he completed her….I liked this story and the way the two of them came together…This was my first book by Ms. Russ and it definitely won’t be my last! I bought the entire series after reading this one and I am looking forward to getting acquainted with the rest of the McAllister family...
Great great read. I loved the conversation between Zach and Lila. It seemed so real like how to people who are trying to get to know each other would talk. I think this author truly captures real conversations between a man and woman who enjoy each other's company. Again the first time Zach and Lila made love was timed just right. The attraction between the two of them seemed real on all levels and I liked that it's not just a physical attraction. This author writes about characters who are wealthy but that's not what the whole book is about. She writes about family but then she focuses on the love between the two families. The whole story seemed true to life, but it takes you away for a few hours. This author has me hooked on her stories!
